Nightfire is Tjapukai's evening experience meeting the Bama, the Indigenous rainforest people, who paint your face to link you to their traditional land and take you on a mesmerising journey with the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo. Follow the Tjapukai warriors to a corroboree celebrating Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and join the Rainbow Serpent circle to learn traditional language songs before the ceremonial fire is lit with a spectacular fire-ball shooting towards the stars. Dinner will see you enjoy Australian meats, seafood and an array of salads and desserts featuring tantalising Indigenous flavours at the Flame Tree Bar and Grill. Relax around the fire with the Tjapukai warriors where there is time for an intimate chat, an end to a night of cultural entertainment.

19:00: Arrive, browse through the art gallery.
19:10: Native Spiced Canapes and Complimentary Bubbles and Juice. Sip complimentary sparkling wine and taste canapes inspired by the bush tucker foods of the tropical rainforest while admiring authentic Indigenous art in the Rainforest Canopy Breezeway.
19:30: Face Painting, Cultural Welcome with Didgeridoo Journey. Hear the haunting didgeridoo in this special performance. Meet the Bama, the Indigenous rainforest people, who will paint your face to link you to their traditional land, then take you on a mesmerising journey with the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo.
19:45: Tjapukai Aboriginal Dance Performance. Join the Tjapukai warriors in their corroboree dance. Follow the Tjapukai warriors along with a firelit path to a rainforest dance theatre where a sacred corroboree celebrating Aboriginal Dreamtime stories will inspire you to join the traditional Indigenous dances.
20:00: Lakeside Firemaking Ceremony with Spectacular Fire Ball. Sing along as a spectacular fireball lights a ceremonial fire. Become part of the Rainbow Serpent circle to learn traditional language songs and make music with Aboriginal clap sticks before the ceremonial fire is lit with a spectacular fireball shooting towards the stars.
21:15: Have a delicious buffet dinner. Dine on exotic tropical produce featuring Indigenous flavours. Enjoy Australian meats including kangaroo and crocodile, local seafood and an array of salads and desserts featuring tantalising Indigenous flavours at the Flame Tree Bar and Grill buffet where the chef whips up fresh dishes from an open flame grill.
22:00: Meet the Performers by the Fireside.
22:30: Photo Opportunity and Farewell. Join the Tjapukai warriors beside the fire for a chat. End an evening of cultural celebrations with the Tjapukai warriors beside the campfire where there is time for an intimate chat and photo opportunities.
Tjapukai offers a morning, afternoon, and evening shuttle transfer service to and from your Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation. The 09:15 and 13:00. Arrival times are linked to bus pickups, however, if you are making your own way to Tjapukai, feel free to arrive at anytime between 09:15 and 16:00. Public transport connects with Tjapukai via Translink Route 123 from the Cairns city place bus stop and returns from the Tjapukai bus stop. Departure times can be found at the link. You will be asked to choose your pick up location from a list when booking online. Your pick up time will be advised when you do. Dinner and show, pick-ups are between 18:00 and 19:00.
Conditions: Child rates are applicable from 4 to 14 years and adult rates are applicable beyond that. Family bookings are also available for this particular tour.
