After pickup from central locations in Pokolbin, Cessnock or Lovedale, relax during the scenic drive to the Hunter Valley. Take in the rolling hills and lush vineyards of one of Australia’s most celebrated wine-producing regions, which boasts more than 150 wineries and breathtaking views.
Visit three boutique Hunter Valley wineries, meet the local producers and hear about the wine-making process. Taste a variety of red, white and fortified wines that showcase the flavours of this fertile valley.
Enjoy a one-course restaurant lunch with a glass of beer, wine or cider. Also sample local cheese, chocolate and fudge and visit The Hunter Distillery to sip their range of organic vodkas, schnapps, gin, and liqueur tastings served in test tubes. Try the mango, choc mint, and chilli (if you’re brave enough), plus lots more. Easily see why this stop has become a highlight of the tour for some.
Your driver-guide and local staff share commentary about the region's history and culinary traditions throughout the day. Your tour ends with drop-off at your starting point in Pokolbin, Cessnock or Lovedale.

Availability: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Lunch: Our lunch venues vary day to day and so do the meals. Your guide will inform you of the venue and choice of meal on the day of your tour. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
Conditions: Minimum drinking age is 18 years. This tour will have a maximum of 22 travellers.

Thanks Daniel for a terrific day at the Pokolbin wineries. It was very nicely scheduled with enough time just to relax, not too many visits, and a nice level of busyness. Our very pleasant group had a great time. It’s such a lovely area. The visit to the Hunter Distillery was a real treat. Of course the wine tasting was wonderful. The cheese and wine matching was lots of fun and pretty yummy. A really enjoyable and relaxing day.
Nice tour. Visited 4 wineries, one chocolate cafe and one vodka distillery. One of them also provided cheese. We were guided by Sam and he was really friendly and attentive. He told us great amount of stories / info about Hunter Valley areas, wine and also some spots in Sydney along the way to Hunter Valley. Driving was pleasant.
Great tour. Visited 4 wineries and a distillery, one of which also provided cheese. All the wineries had knowledgeably people providing information on the wines and the region. The driver was very pleasant. A really enjoyable trip.
Booked this tour because of the good reviews. Glad the tour lived up to our expectations. Our tour guide, Sam, was a highlight of the tour. He gave excellent information about the valley and Australian history as well. Iron Gate winery was our favorite. All wineries were very good. The distillery was a surprisingly good finish. The ride was a bit long from Sydney, but the bus was comfortable and Sam was entertaining.
Definitely recommend to those looking for a good wine tour.
