This is where we do our half day white water rafting tour, on the ebb and flow of the Barron River, as it snakes its way down from the mountains and heads out to the Coral Sea. This is a scenic rafting / rainforest adventure which combines calm water floating with a series of white water rapids for adventure and action. The Barron River Half Day Tour is a fantastic introduction to White Water Rafting. It’s fun, exciting and exhilarating, suitable for all the family (Children aged from 12 years old onwards). Enjoy up to two hours rafting, on up to grade 3 rapids. Our rafts carry up to seven passengers plus your river guide. No experience necessary. What to bring: Bring your ticket and Pay On Board raft levy (payment cash or credit card), enough money for souvenirs and snacks, water-resistant sunscreen. What to wear: Wear swimming costume under your clothes, bring a large towel, a change of clothes, AUD5 for shoe hire or bring secure footwear - lace-up shoes or reef sandals that will get wet. Please leave all jewellery and valuables at your accommodation. Conditions: All participants will be required to sign a liability release form prior to the trip commencing. The Mulgrave River may be used for half day rafting tours when the Barron River is not available due to river levels or other reasons. Passengers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian to sign on their behalf. Restrictions: Please note that some medical conditions, disabilities and impairments may exclude participants from rafting for safety reasons, e.g. pregnancy and serious vision impairments.
