Your Daintree Cape Tribulation 4WD Bloomfield Track day tour begins with being meet by your friendly accredited guide at your accommodation Cairns CBD area from 6:50-7:15, Northern Beaches from 7:20 and Port Douglas area from 8:20, and after introductions, we drive north along the magnificent scenic coastal route along the Captain Cook Highway learning about the history of the area and admiring spectacular views of the coast line and the Azure waters of the Coral Sea.
Our first stop is at the Majestic Daintree River for Morning Tea (Tea, Coffee & Biscuits) before enjoying an informative guided River Cruise on the Daintree River. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and endemic wildlife, this is nature at its best!

Your naturalist guide will meet you at your accommodation and after introductions all round we then drive north along the scenic route via Mossman to Cape Tribulation. Lush farmland contrasts with seascape as we approach the majestic Daintree River. Time for a short morning tea break then its 'all aboard' for an informative river cruise.
Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife, this is nature at its best!
We ascend the Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea.
Experience the rainforest intimately on our elevated National Park Boardwalk. Accurate interpretations of flora and fauna will be given with ample time for photographs and questions as we search for the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this habitat.
A delicious barbecue lunch with freshly prepared salads (dietary requirements catered for with prior notice) is served while you can hand feed Wallabies and enjoy a cold drink from the bar (own cost).
Our tour does a little more, it takes you beyond Cape Tribulation along 7klms of the 4WD Bloomfield Track too pristine Emmagen Creek and time for a refreshing rainforest fresh water swim. Seek fish and turtles in the creek, butterflies and exotic birds in the trees and indulge in a feast taste testing of tropical fruit, a cup of traditional Billy Tea, and damper all of which enhance the tranquil surroundings.
At Cape Tribulation Beach, there is a little time to stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers' platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the Rainforest meets the Reef. (There is no swimming at Cape Tribulation Beach due to dangerous Hazards)
After a short afternoon refreshment stop, we cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and begin our homeward journey somewhat wiser for our 'Total Rainforest Experience'.
Pickups from the Southside Accommodation 6:50, Cairns CBD 7:00-7:15, Northern Beaches 7:20-7:45, Port Douglas are at 8:20.
What to bring: A hat, a sunscreen, a camera, extra batteries, memory cards, a water bottle, a towel, swimming costume, a insect repellent, extra cash for cold drinks, souvenirs or an ice-cream and raincoat in our rainy season.
What to wear: Comfortable clothes as you are in the tropics, our winter you may wish to take a light coat. Flat comfortable shoes or sandals. Preferable no thongs, shoes must have grip and ladies no high heels as there is uneven ground and you will be in the rain-forest.
Conditions: Reasonable level of fitness is needed as there are stairs on the boardwalks, on and off the cruise, and uneven ground to walk over. Itineraries may be changed or run in reverse at the discretion of Billy Tea Safaris, some parts of the tour may not be carried out as per brochure at certain times of year due to weather and road conditions, decision made on the day by our guides and it is final. We may not get to some of our tour destinations depending on weather, or other factors and this is the discretion of the driver on the day.
Child policy: 0 years to 14 years of age is at the child rate. Age of children must be specified at time of reservation so baby & booster seats can be supplied for 7 years or under. This is Queensland transport ruling.
