Here is a great budget tour especially for families.
This tour also gives you the opportunity to visit Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, the best place to see crocodiles, koalas, birds of prey and wombats in North Queensland. Be sure to cruise Hartley's Lagoon in the custom-built boat, designed to ensure every seat has a view of the crocodiles feeding. After a coach pick-up from your Port Douglas accommodation you'll head south on a 25-minute scenic drive, coasting along the Great Barrier Reef Drive.
Your first destination of the award-winning Hartley's Crocodile Adventures is not only home to prehistoric reptiles, but also koalas, wombats, kangaroos, cassowaries, and wallabies. Then we head straight to Kuranda Village up the Kuranda Range and travel through some of the oldest rainforests on earth. On arrival in Kuranda the guide will show you around this, 'Village in the rainforest' famous for its colourful arts and crafts markets and leave you to enjoy the cafes. After approximately 3 hours in Kuranda it's time for a trip back down the scenic Kuranda Range stopping at Henry Ross lookout for breathtaking views of the region.
Whilst waiting for the rest of the group enjoy a wander through the Smithfield Shopping Centre. We then head up the coast to stunning Palm Cove. The guide will show you along the palm fringed Esplanade before joining you to enjoy a cold drink, coffee and cake or cocktail overlooking the beautiful beach. Take a stroll amongst the shops and galleries or let the kids play in the playground, before returning to Port Douglas, bringing an end to our day together.
