The Skyrail experience will take approximately 1½ hours one way, or 2-2½ hours return including time spent at two rainforest stations. It can commence or conclude at either Smithfield or Kuranda, depending on your direction of travel. A one way Skyrail experience should take approximately 1½ hours, this includes spending time at the two rainforest stations Red Peak and Barron Falls.

Skyrail’s Smithfield Terminal is located just 15 minutes drive north from Cairns city or 50 minutes south from Port Douglas. Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal is located a short walk from the famous village of Kuranda, where you’ll be able to enjoy rainforest walks, the local attractions and shopping.

Skyrail's hours of operation are 8:45am to 5:15pm; bookings are taken in 15 minute intervals from 8:45am to 2:45pm for a return journey, or 3:30pm for a one-way journey. Please advised your preferred time when making a booking
A one way Skyrail experience is suitable for self-drivers. This assumes you will not require transfers from your accommodation. NB: When booking a one way Skyrail experience only, you will need to make your own way either to or from Kuranda or Smithfield Terminal, to return to your vehicle at the completion of the experience.
Skyrail’s Smithfield Terminal is located just 15 minutes from Cairns and 50 minutes from Port Douglas and provides a convenient embarkation or disembarkation point.
Self Drive: If you have your own vehicle, or are using public transport, you will not require transfers from your accommodation. You will need to make your own way to the terminal
